How to Get an Indian Medical Visa from Bangladesh: A Step-by-Step Guide

Every year , thousands of patients from Bangladesh travel to India for specialised

treatment. The first step of that journey is the Indian medical visa. The process is simple

when you know the steps, but small mistakes can cause delays at a time when every day

matters.

Here is how the process works and how RJ Health Bridge can help.

Step 1: Share your medical reports

Before applying for a visa, you need a confirmed treatment plan. Send us your recent

medical reports, test results and prescriptions on WhatsApp. Our team shares them with

the right hospital and specialist in India.

Step 2: Get a doctor’s opinion

The hospital reviews your case and gives a treatment opinion, usually within 24 to 48

hours. Urgent cases are prioritised. If you wish, we can also arrange a consultation call

with the doctor before you decide.

Step 3: Book a hospital appointment

Once you choose a hospital, we confirm your appointment. The hospital then issues a

Visa Invitation Letter (VIL). This letter is one of the most important documents for a

medical visa.

Step 4: Prepare your documents

A typical medical visa application needs:

  1. A valid passport with enough validity and blank pages
  2. Recent passport-size photographs
  3. The Visa Invitation Letter from the Indian hospital
  4. Y our medical reports and doctor’s referral
  5. Proof of address and financial documents, such as a bank statement
  6. Documents for each attendant travelling with the patient

Requirements can change, so always confirm the latest checklist before you apply .

Step 5: Book a visa slot and submit

The application is filled online, and a slot is booked at the Indian Visa Application Centre.

On the appointment day , you submit your documents and fingerprints. W e help with form

filling, slot booking and fee submission.

Step 6: Plan your travel

After the visa is approved, we help with air tickets, hotel or guest house near the hospital,

airport pickup and a translator if needed.

Medical visa or tourist visa?

If you are travelling for treatment, apply for a medical visa, not a tourist visa. A medical visa matches your purpose of travel and allows attendants to accompany you on a medical attendant visa.
